I have error message "The direction to move is undefined (180 degree move set to Shortest Distance)." for C-axis motion, this is Integrex-200III machine with Mazatrol640t-control.

Does anybody has idea how to fix it?

Re: C-Axis motion

Go to Control Settings, Rotary Tab and change the Absolute Rotary Direction to Shortest Distance 3

Re: C-Axis motion

Thank you TONY,

I am using V7.3, I changed it to "Shortest Distance 2" and it works. Is there any difference between Shortest Distance 2 vs 3?

Re: C-Axis motion

If you were using Shortest Distance originally you should use Shortest Distance 3 now.  Using Shortest Distance 2 will make the C axis go in the opposite direction to Shortest Distance when doing a 180 degree move.

Shortest Distance 3 is the same as Shortest Distance except that it does not output a warning message when doing a 180 degree move.

Re: C-Axis motion

But in version 7.3 doesn't have Shortest distance 3 - option. How can we add in control setting.

Thanks,
