Re: Unigraphics

I’ve been using UG since UGI 20 + years.  I have been using Vericut off and on since the early 90’s.  John Prun was my first Vericut trainer.

Re: Unigraphics

AND HERE'S ONE REASON WHY!

(JUST RECIEVED FROM UNIGRAPHICS!)

Dear Louis,

Our UNIGRAPHICS_NX development team has investigated PR Number 4473676 and determined
that this problem will not be fixed. If you would like to discuss this further,
please call GTAC at 1-800-955-0000 or 1-714-952-5444 and select the appropriate
support group. If you wish, the representative will connect you with the
appropriate development supervisor, Tim Fu.

The problem where you reported the error, "Thru face does not intersect path
of the tool" to perform subtraction, has been closed as no fix.

Since this problem was reported to us, our engineers have performed a detailed
analysis of the data on at least three separate occasions. Each time we have
been unable to devise a fix and consequently we have concluded that a
resolution to the problem is not feasible.

The problem has therefore been closed as No Fix in our database, and no
further attempts to resolve it will be made.

The data for this issue will remain in our test suite and should it be
discovered fixed in the future, you will be informed of this.

Sincerely,

The Global Technical Access Center Team

Re: Unigraphics

I use a combination of UG and NCL for manufacturing. They complement each other nicely. UG's strengths are NCL weaknesses and vice versa. This system has worked necely for the last 5 or 6 years. I am able to easily integrate the code with the ability to quickly add any required modifications of updates.

Re: Unigraphics

Hi,
I've used UG since v6 (1988) and Vericut since v1.2 (1989) but have been out of the loop for some time working on manufacturing standard work.

It's refreshing to recognize so many names and companies in this forum.
