I think I've requested this already but it would be really nice if the working directory was saved with the user file so that when you call up a file you don't have to select the working directory each time.
Thanks,

That sounds like a good idea.
Also-
How do you change your working directory and make it stick?
I have clicked File>Working directory>choose a new dir, but next time I enter VC, I am back to my old working directory.

The initial working directory can be changed by editing the start in box in the properties of the Vericut icon.

I've asked for this every user group meeting for the last three years..
the process that vericut appears to use is: (watch every demo they do.
they all demo it the same way!)
open vericut.
change working dir
load user file.
run process.
--four steps--
the way I want to do it is...
double click user file.
run process.
-- two steps --
time is money!
if you didn't set the working dir. your files may not be in the right place.
I try to make it a point to use full path & extensions so it dosn't happen
often, still happens sometimes though.
and storing them in the startup batch file as parameters is also
inadaquet. We have >30 customers with several hundred active part
numbers. "custname\partnumber\mill.5ax"

Louis,
If you set your Folder Option in the MS Explore window to start VERICUT with a USR extension, you can start VERICUT by double-clicking on the file. The working directory is then automatically defined as the folder where the USR file resides

Serge:
Thanks, that works. I do remember this not working in prev versions.
(picking up the working dir) Or am I getting Senile?

Louis,
What happens is that when you install a new version, you need to change the path for the application otherwise it will not work.
As for your other question, I am not qualified to answer
