DEVIATION IN AUTO-DIFF REPORT

IS THE DEVIATION IN THE AUTO-DIFF REPORT THE ACTUAL DEVIATION OF THE GOUGE/EXCESS. OR IS IT A MULITPLIER OF THE TOLERANCE?  IM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT EXACTLY WHAT IM LOOKING AT HERE. IF I SET THE TOLERANCE OF THE AUTO-DIFF TO .1MM IT SHOWS NO ERRORS. IF I CHANGE IT TO .01MM IT SHOWS SOME ERRORS, BUT THE DEVIATION SAYS 3.5 ETC.

SO IF ITS ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS IT MAKES NO SENSE, IF ITS A NUMBER BASED OFF THE TOLERANCE THAT WOULD MAKE MORE SENSE. HOWEVER I NEED TO KNOW TO HAVE ANY IDEA WHATS GOING ON HERE. BECAUSE SO FAR I CANT MAKE HEADS OR TAILS FROM THIS AUTO-DIFF DATA.

Re: DEVIATION IN AUTO-DIFF REPORT

Hi Mark,

I necro'd a good thread. Take a look.  Also..not a big deal......but all caps is considered SHOUTING by some. I made that mistake when I started posting as I used to be a NCL programmer, and caps lock was glued on.

Have a great weekend.

You are correct it the amount shown plus the tolerance.
