Delete Material Help

Somewhere in revision land, the 'delete material' function changed.

I can't seem to get the latest version to work. I used to be able to click on the cut, unattached stock and it would disappear. Now, either the whole model disappears, or nothing happens.

I attach my Stock and Design models under the Fixture ‘parent’.

I even tried reading the help file.   big_smile

I am running V5.4.1 and have just requested an updated disk.
This is something that I have just ignored because I haven’t had time to fuss with it, but now I need to get it 'working' again!

Thanks, Kathy

Re: Delete Material Help

Under the Model menu select  Delete Material. A menu that says OK, DELETE, KEEP, UNSELECT, CANCEL comes up.

With the mouse, select the piece you want to delete.  WAIT, WAIT, WAIT until it turns red.
Select Delete. WAIT, WAIT, WAIT until the busy button in the bottom right is no longer red.
Select OK.
It should be gone now.

The WAIT, WAIT, WAIT part is missing in the docs.   big_smile

I do that - click on the pieces (clearly un-attached). They turn red. I click 'OK' and they turn back to original color and are still there.

I must be missing something!

There are 3 distinct steps, not 2.  Select piece, then select "DELETE"  then select OK, with a lot of waiting in between.  I hope I am explaining this correctly.  It works, but I agree there needs to be a time indicator or a better interface.

Yea!!!!

I tried those steps back in September, but was still having trouble. Well I just tried it on my 'problem child' part and it worked!!
