Is there any way to model a disk type pick up ATC on vericut? I have tried two approaches with the existing tools in vericut but neither sufficiently model the ATC motion that I'm looking for.
The first approach I tried utilized the toolchain. The motion of the toolchain itself was not continuous, which was a problem, and the disk which was attached as a model to the tool chain would not move synchronously with the tools on the toolchain. The pick up and return of the tools worked fine however.
In the second approach I attempted to use a turret to solve the disk motion issues that I had with the tool chain. The tool selection and pick up worked fine but I found that mounting tools back onto the turret was not possible.

Take a look at the Haas Minimill sample in Vericut, this uses a disk type atc.

Thank you for your response Tony,
This model was the one I attempted to emulate when I used the toolchain approach. The problem I faced was that the disk itself does not move, the tools move around the tool chain but the disk itself is stationary. The disk I'm attempting to model isn't symmetrical and so you can see that It is the tools, and not the disk, that are moving.
the turret approach seemed to work better but once the tools were dismounted they couldn't be remounted.
