Tool preselection

Hello Everyone,

How can I define the machine and control settings to simulate the tool preselection correctly? I mean the tool magazine preselects the next tool while the machine cutting the material.

This required the Tool Chain component. it is available in VERICUT 5.4.

Just one more question:
If the tool magazine is a drum type (so it is only a C2 rotary component) can the preselection be used for this component or it must be a Tool Chain type?

You can create a tool magazine as you did. You probably based yourself on a sample file like hashas01.usr.

You can probably add the motion to the T word in the control, but every pre-selection motion will be added to the cycle time. VERICUT process the motion of the magazine, and then go to the next line. Not what you need.

What really happen on your machine is that the tool is selected while the machine is cutting. If the cutting operation is very short, there might be a delay because the pre-selection is not completed.

I don't see a solution in 5.3, sorry
