recap of motion

I would like to see a recap of motion, in future releases

The reason I need it, and it has gone on my radar, is I just left the stone age,   and started using RTCP, or Rotary Tool Control Point

my post processor  gives me a recap of motion, at the end of the listing file.

a recap of motionlooks like this

TOOL TRAVEL SUMMARY:

     AXIS ----------MINIMUM--------MAXIMUM ----------TOTAL

     X AXIS-----------1601.152 ------- 345.618 ------------.770
     Y AXIS-----------570.676----------985.874--------1556.550
     Z AXIS---------- 347.462 -------- 644.712 ---------297.250
     A  ---------------- -1.750 ------------33.275----------- 35.025
     C +/- 180 ------ -3.973 ----------- 0.715 -----------  4.688

Here the new problem:

With Rotary Tool Control Point,  the program is posted without pivot distance, or gage lengths. This is handle at the control, with TRAORI, and G96.

For decades, programming has provided this information to the shop, so they know where to position the fixture.

Yes, the Vericut I have today has travel limits checking in the machine simulation module, but I wish to provide some positioning margin for the fixture setup.

A thousand is as good as a mile,    but I prefer a little safety distance.

In this case the travel limits it x 2600 and  y 2200, so with   1946.770 and 1556.550, there is plenty, over 650, and 650 play for setup.

In the mean time, what I am doing, is posting twice. Once with RTCP, and again with the pivot distance, or gage lengths, to generate an accurate recap, with anticipated, or actual gage lengths.

I am also cropping the travel limits, to  2 inches inside the actual travel limits, but that changes the machine file  . Perhaps, a near miss for travel limits, that can be stored in the project file, could be done also? yikes

I was very happy to see that Vericut handled the Rotary Tool Control Point programming technique.  big_smile

I was very happy to see how Vericut handled G71 metric, on an inch built machine. big_smile

Did I expect all that stuff to work?
Yes. But it’s still nice to see it all work, in action.

Re: recap of motion

I hate to spoile the surprise, but the motion recap will be in VERICUT 6.2.

Re: recap of motion

I was just looking for this functionality in V8.0.2 but couldn't find it and also the local CGTech support didn't know about it. Has it been implemented? Where can I find it in V8.0.2?

Thanks.
