I can't for the life of me, find where the cut stock colour is set.
The moment I start processing the toolpath, the stock colour changes from its set colour (dark gray) to olive green.
Can someone tell me where the Cut Stock colour setting is set?

The color of the area a cutter has already machined is determined by the setting of the tool color.
It is usually set to cycle through a specified number of colors to be able to distinguish between different cutter paths.
See Edit => Colors => Simulation...

Thanks for the reply.
I don't see Edit -> Colors -> Simulation
I have Edit -> Colors <- With tabs for Assign, Cut Colors and Define.
Also, there is no part cut when it changes color. As soon as I start stepping the verification, the stock model changes color (no tool has even changed into the spindle)

The color of the stock component is defined in the tree view of the setup.
I don't have seen such a behavior since I first started to use Vericut

This is a bug I spot on Beta but could not reproduce it when I wanted. Your stock should not disappear or change it´s color at will. When a tool removes material, the cut portion is supposed to get the colors defined in "Edit -> Colors <- With tabs for Assign, Cut Colors and Define."
You can define the color of you stock component in the component definition.
I might be bloody wrong, but I´m confident this is a easter egg in the code.

Just raising this again.
I just installed 7.4.2 last week and the issue is still present. Stock is Dark Gray when I open the project. The moment I start the simulation (using single step or play), the stock changes color to Olive Green. This is before a tool is even loaded in the spindle.
Probably best I send it into Tech Support

Hi Daniel,
It might pay to upload it to support. It seems to be with certain projects or machines. Any examples would help them diagnose I guess.
You can refer SCR PR 16609 as a reference
