How to creat a control file (ctl) for vericut

I am a new user of Vericut.
here we have some machines with OSAI 8600 CNC, and we'd like to simulate the machining on Vericut. how could I get that file? and how to creat it?

Hi Packer.

Can you tell me more about the machine the control is for? I used to run AB8600 (a really old one). Also will you be using E parameters?

The more data you supply the better

That is for Starrag NX155, it's a 5-axis blade milling machine. I think it is also an old machine. :-)

you should start with a control that is similar to your control. VERICUT comes with several controls in the Library folder.

I would recommend to start with an Allan-Bradley control:

Setup > Control > Open
Shortcut= CGTECH_LIBRARY (top right corner)
select : ab_8200.ctl

This control should cover most of the main G and M codes in your program.
