simulation speed

I'm currently using Vericut7.3.1 and the simulation speed is very slow even with the skip motions slider bar all the way over to the right.
any suggestions would be great.

Read this:

In this post you can see all settings that affect performance.

The most important one is cutting tolerance. You need to understand that cutting tolerance is volumetric, not linear. It´s a common confusion to think that in order to see an error of 0.01mm you need to have a tolerance that small.

Do a search on VERICUT Help, look up for "Properties window, Tolerance tab"

Go through each of the pages and then you will understand how VERICUT interprets cutting tolerance. This will help you to set an effective value.

As we work with big parts, (Envelope 2000mmx1000mmx500mm), a cutting tolerance of 2mm works very well for us and we can catch program errors causing gouges of 0.02mm easily.

But it really depends on your parts.

Re: simulation speed

Right click on screen and display just the part without the machine and you should see a difference
