Ok, I´m sure there are more people strugling with this for years:
Whenever a programmer wants to track the value and status of a variable, he can use the Variables dialog.
The problem is that when this window is open, VERICUT is damn sloooooooooooow.... it´s barely unusable for tracking regular nc-programs, and it is not much better for VMC building either...
What I propose is CGTech to give the user the ability to add "Watch" panels or tabs he could add only the variables he is interested to track. This way VERICUT could be faster because the panels would only show pre-selected parameters, and other fields would not exist, thus VERICUT would not be so sloooooooooooooow as it is today because it has to update all variables that are shown in the dialog.
In a Sinumerik control for example (Picture above), it´s common to have thousands of variables and arrays that needs to be updated whether they´re selected in the top of the window or not. This makes it a game no one can win and I can understand why it is so slow.
Below the proposal: To have something similar to what we have in popular IDEs like Visual Studio or even the IDE CGTech programmers code the product. I´m sure as developers you guys understand very well the impact of this enhancement request on us, end users.
The user could go to the current window and "send" certain parameters or variables to a "Watch" panel, close the variables window and run the program monitoring the "Watch" panel... I think this way performance would be greatly enhanced without loosing the current functionality of the regular "Variables" dialog.
Let alone the fact that a "Watch" panel is much more convinient and smaller than the dialog window... the idea is to dock it close to the logger...

VERICUT 7.4 addresses this.
Until then switch off some of the variables, control make the biggest difference in 840d, add to watch list the ones you are interested in only.

Just found it! Good improvement!
