New board has new issues...

The appearance of the new forum is just great and clean... but in terms of functionality we have a few issues we didn't have before...

Problem #1: You can't change your e-mail address. The board says you have an invalid address even before you attempt to change it.

Problem #2: You can't upload avatars any longer... I was using a 1.35MB avatar stored in a URL... now I can't even upload a 12.5K one. The allowed dimensions and file sizes are not mentioned.

See the error below:

avatar upload

So, I love to use and vary avatars, but the old functionality to link them to an URL is no longer available... and uploads are not allowed...

Can you guys fix this? Overall I like the new design but it needs to work as the previous one in terms of functionality.

Cheers,

Daniel Santos

Re: New board has new issues...

Hi Daniel,

Thanks! We're glad you like the forum. We're still making adjustments to everything.

1. We need to investigate this further. Thanks for reporting the issue.

2. The avatar settings have been adjusted. A URL for an avatar is no longer possible, but an avatar image can be directly uploaded. The size and dimension settings have been increased. Please give it a try. Hopefully it work better now.

This is an Avatar Test. Works much better.

Re: New board has new issues...

Well, I should never had attempted to replace my URL avatar... that was a very nice one...

But it seems I can load a small one again... TKs!
