Re: Pro-E to Vericut Interface

This might be a dumb question, but do you have the interface license?

Re: Pro-E to Vericut Interface

Hi Mike,

From where I have to take this option in license file, from PTC or CGTech?
Thank you.

Re: Pro-E to Vericut Interface

Hey Eugen

I know you would need one from CGTech, and although I don't use Pro-E, I would imagine you would probably need one from them as well. I would, however, recommend checking that with someone from PTC first to make sure that's the case, before spending money that doesn't need to be spent. But I do know for sure that you need an interface license from CGTech, and if you open Vericut, select Help, License, that will give a list of the licenses you have. If you do have that license, it will say "Pro/E interface" on the left. If you need the license from CGTech, you can go to the homepage, select Support, Request License, and they will walk you through the process.

Hope this helps!

Mike

Re: Pro-E to Vericut Interface

Pro/E does have its own licenses for VERICUT, so there should be nothing to purchase.

Is the license on the local machine or on a server?

Did you change the Windows version recently?

Re: Pro-E to Vericut Interface

Hi Stefan,

ProE to Vericut Interface is a new feature released by CGTech on last month for Vericut 7.0.1 version.
CGTech have written a New Pro/ENGINEER to VERICUT Interface to replace the ‘free’ interface which launches Embedded VERICUT.

New Features:

1.    Supports multiple Operations / Setups
2.    Pick multiple Stock / Design / Fixture
3.    Choose Attach Axis System
4.    Choose NC Program Origin
5.    Uses CGTech license
6.    It can launch Full VERICUT or Embedded VERICUT

Thanks.

Re: Pro-E to Vericut Interface

:?:

Quick question.

Does the new Proe interface allow you to select/point to existing Vericut machine/control files? Previously we had to manipulate the Proev.bat file to point to our own system library of machines. If they weren't in your working directory in Pro, you had no choice but to just check the .ncl file.

Thanks.

Re: Pro-E to Vericut Interface

The new ProE interface will allow you to specify a Project Template containing the machine and control of your choice. The files can be located anywhere on your system. It also allows you to setup and simulate multiple setups.

you can look at the following videos for an overview of the interface to ProE and other CAM systems.

Re: Pro-E to Vericut Interface

Hello,

Is anyone having any issues with the ProEV interface? I cannot seem to be able to pick stock, design, fixture components, etc.. Nothing shows up in the GUI.

Thanks,
Eric
