Error using Autodiff

Hi,
I'm trying to autodiff a cut stock however I recieve the following error "No visible design model(s) for this stock".
I have placed the 'design' in exactly the same place as another project that does work, so why not this? Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance

Re: Error using Autodiff

If the visibility for either the model or the component is turned off, Vericut will give a dialog box saying "No visible design for comparison. Use the design component 'Design'? " Just click yes, and it will do the comparison.

Re: Error using Autodiff

Hi Mike,

That is not the case and I'm not sure if you can see the screenshot I posted showing the actual status of the vericut session, but everything is visible. The error is "No visible design model(s) for this stock"

Regards,

Paul

I see that you have a main chuck do you have a sub chuck?  Sometimes for the autodiff you need to tell it which one to look at.

Re: Error using Autodiff

Hi,

You have to have the design model set to visible in "Both views" or at least in "Workpiece view".
Likely you only have it visible in "Machine view".

MB3 on the place holder Design (not the stl-model), choose Visibility/Both Views or Workpiece view.

Best regards,

Svante

Thank you! This worked.
The first option tab in Autodiff is called 'Stock component'. It was set to 'sub-stock', I changed this to 'Stock' and all works.

Thank you all for responding, much appreciated.
