I am a bit of a newbe with Vericut. I use the Mastercam interface and it is very simple. Now I have some older hand written code am am trying to get setup in Vericut to edit it. One program repeats the same code but just calls 4 different Work offsets. The only differents in the work offsets is the C value (5 axis DMU 50). So the program runs rotates C because of the change in Work offset and runs again. I have the first work offset working good (G54). I coppied the CS and added a rotate but I see no change. Any tips on this?
Some of my hand written Programs call work offsets by G54 I1, G54 I2... When I tried to use these the system would not let enter that name in the Coordinate system . I am sure I am doing something wrong.
I am reviewing the CD I got from class If I find anything I will post back.
Thanks
Fred.

Hello Fred,
Which control are you using?
Could write the lines from your program that set your workoffsets?

You can not just rotate the coordinate system, but instead copy the coordinate and add an additional C offset as the angle you want. If your control is configured to accept G54 I? Then this should work.

I am not sure of the source of the original controler. One of my co-workers worked with Gene Granata to get it set up for us. I think it is a modified version of the 50heimplus-1CGT that came with Vericut. Should I be talking to Gene?

If you have support I would talk to them. That is the best way to learn the correct way.

Are you using the G7 Tilt Plane function, or just rotations?

Just rotation. It is a long program but it is just 3 axis 3d forming. Call G54, Run code Call G55 (rotates C 180 degree) run the same code again. The program makes 2 parts.
I have support so I want to run thru a couple of the tutorial and if I still have an issue I will call next week. Any other tip will be appreciated
Thanks
