Post Processor on Vericut 7.1.2

Hello Bill,

Is the function "File > Convert > Post Processor..." already working on v7.1.2?

I mean, if I simulate an APT CL file using a post processor configured to translate the main program to Siemens or any other control, will it work?

Is there a specific license required to run the Post Processor function?

Thanks again!

Regards,

Rodrigo

Re: Post Processor on Vericut 7.1.2

Hello Rodrigo,

this function is working in 7.1.2.

It does not require an additional license it is included.

VERICUT has a post-processor language similar to Visual Basic syntax that allows you to create your own post processor.

During the machine simulation, all the axis positions, states, and tool information is sent to the post-processor. A set of subroutines read the variables, calculate the values and write the NC program line to a file.
The values passed to the post-processor are coming from some macros in the control file and the axes position are coming from the machine positions.

By default processing APT-CL in VERICUT, we do not use a control file or a machine file so we cannot configure it to send the information to the post-processor routines. But we have configured a simple (very simple) control file to read APT-CL like you would a G-Code file and use it with a machine kinematics. The advantage of this approach is that VERICUT reads the tool position and orientation (XYZIJK) and transforms it to the A, B or C of the machine loaded in the simulation. It then outputs the simulated machine axis to the post-processor where it is formatted for the correct control.

If you attended one of the VUE this year, you probably received the post-processor demos and presentations. It includes an APT-to-Siemens and a Fanuc-to-Siemens post-processor examples. You can contact your local CGTech office.
