The standard report template for the Tool Manager

  C:\cgtech712\library\vericut_tools.vctemplate

shows the Gage offset for each tool.  Is this what you are looking for?

Re: Display Total offsets of each tool in the report

Hi Dave,
Thanks for replying. I would like to know if it is possible to display the final total offsets (not just gauge offsets) for each tool in the report. Asuming that the machine is set up identically to the vericut simulation, this data would match closely to the offsets actually obtained on the real world machine & would be a useful cross check to prevent any accidents caused due to wrong entry of tool offsets / work offsets.

Thanks

Re: Display Total offsets of each tool in the report

Hi Shapoor,

I am not exactly sure what you mean by the final total offsets for each tool.  The report can show the gage offset
for each tool.  The Work offsets are not associated with tools.  Do you want the report to also display Driven Points and
Cutter compensation values?

Re: Display Total offsets of each tool in the report

Hi Dave,
I apologize for not having expressed my doubt adequately. Can the report display the resultant machine offsets calculated based on the sum of Gauge offsets + gauge pivot offset (duly adjusted for turret indexing on a Lathe machine) + program zero etc.
ie. Can the report display the tool offset values that are displayed on the tool offset page of a physical CNC Lathe having identical setup as the virtual one?

Thanks
Shaps

Re: Display Total offsets of each tool in the report

Shaps,

The answer would be no.  This would be an enhancement to the existing software.  If you would like to request
an enhancement put together a set of files along with a detailed explanation of what you're looking for, maybe
you could include some screen shots of the data from the real machine.  From VERICUT

Info, File Summary…, copy all files icon (looks like 2 floppy disks),
in the Copy Files window  enter a path to an empty folder and press
  the Copy button.

Zip up the files and email them to

  support@cgtech.com

don't forget to include your customer ID and Company name
