Ok, so here's my next problem. I realized this morning that I never rebooted my computer after putting in the new license from the email last week, and as such, it never got saved.
This morning, I put the license info in the license configuration window, then rebooted my computer as instructed.
When the computer came back on, I attempted to start v7.1.1, and got an error saying "License file found, but wrong version."
I then tried starting v7.0.3, which worked fine.
I then repeated the process of updating the license file, this time without rebooting the computer, and now v7.1.1 is working. I was under the impression that rebooting the computer after updating the license made the change permanent? But mine keeps reverting back to the license for v7.0.3... :?
I"m so confused...

Hi mike,
I suppose that :
1°) you were running VERICUT with a license server set on the 7.0.3 folders.
2°) Then You installed the V7.1.1 and you have used the 'Start Menu\Programs\CGTech VERICUT 7.1.1\License Server Only\Save License File from License Email' to create the New license file in the V7.1.1 Folders.
3°) And finally you used the 'Start Menu\Programs\CGTech VERICUT 7.1.1\License Server Only\Update Licenses on Running Server' which have updated the License server from 7.0.3 (the one actually running) using the 7.1.1 license file you have just create before.
==> But the windows service and the LSERVOPTS system variables (path to the license file) have not been updated and are still pointing to the 7.0.3 files. Then when the computer is starting, the license server service is starting the old 7.0.3 license server with the old LSERVOPTS parameter pointing to the old license file.
If you use the 'Start Menu\Programs\CGTech VERICUT 7.1.1\License Server Only\Configure License & Setup Server' everything will be pointing to files in the 7.1.1 folders and Rebooting the server will not cause any problem.

Thanks a lot! That took care of my problem...I think I must have reset the license server before rebooting my computer
