DMG TRAVEL LIMITS

Hey folks.
I am simulating a Deckel Maho DMC 60 T with a MillPlus-IT control.

Just about everything is working pretty much the way I want, with one major exception...When "G7" is active, the travel limits change depending on the angle of the mill head. The difference is not very big, but it is enough to cause an alarm.

When milling, the tool positions above the part, then Z does a quick retract before moving to the appropriate postion. This quick retract, while small, is often times enough to cause the machine to give an overtravel alarm.

Does anyone (a) know what I'm talking about, and/or (b) know of a way to make my machine in Vericut alarm out when the travel limit for the corresponding angle is exceeded?

PS. I am running v7.0.3

Re: DMG TRAVEL LIMITS

If you've not already found the answer:

Travel Limit Groups introduced with VERICUT 6.2 can do this.

Add a travel limit group to Configuration, Machine Settings, Travel Limits (tab) (F1 to see the help on the subject)

Use the macro TravelLimitGroup in Word Address to activate the correct groups via the NC code commands. (F1 with the macro selected will show the help for it).

Have fun
