cutter comp issues

hey everyone. im trying to run a program on my mazak variaxis. the machine has worked fine for months, and now, all of a sudden, instead of only putting cutter comp on the tools i assign it too, vericut is putting half diameter comp on all the tools, even the drills. this is the second time in a row this has happened, and it didnt start until i missed a day of work. the guy that covered for me says he didnt change anything, but it was working fine before, and now it isnt, and im having a hell of a time figuring out whats wrong. any ideas?

t.i.a.

Re: cutter comp issues

It seems like you have some gremlins in your machine

Look at your Cutter compensation setting, the 3 options are: Off / ON -Default to Zero / ON - Default to Full Radius

My guess is that it was changed to Full Radius.

In 7.0:
in the Project Tree, select the SETUP:1 branch
in the Configure panel, G-Code tab
Process Cutter Comp. = On - Default to Zero
Save your project

In 6.2:
Project > Processing Options > G-Code > Settings
Process Cutter Comp. = On - Default to Zero
Save your project

I would recommend creating a startup template on a folder that is write-protected. Everyone can read the file save a copy for their current job, but the master is not changed.
