VERICUT machines: VERICUT blocks versus STL models

Hello,

if you create a VERICUT machine, do you create the geometry in VERICUT (block, cone, cylinder) or do you create the machine with STL models, exported from another CAD/CAM system like for example CATIA V5?
And for what reason?

Thank you,
Lesley
