Aut-Diff Surface vs Solid comparison mode

Hello I am new to Vericut

I would like to know what is the main difference between Auto-Diff: Surface versus Solid comparison mode for gouging check?
Which method is more precise and reliable?

Thankyou

Re: Aut-Diff Surface vs Solid comparison mode

By Auto-diff surface, you can use color to distinction how many excess(or gouge or both) by one surface. But you couldn't measurement accuracy value.
By Auto-diff Solid, you only can set one color for entire solid mold, but  you can measure the value directly.VERICUT accommdate many measure ways .I think the latter is more useful.
It is very simple, you can try them by VERICUT.
