Auto-Diff -->Gouging Comparison Tolerance

Hello everyone. I am new to Vericut and I love this software!
But I have a small problem regarding Gouging check in Auto-Diff, hope you can help me.

My situation:
Alright, I have a machined model(stock) and a design model, and I need to compare whether there is any gouging present in my stock or not.
I notice that under Auto-Diff --> Comparison Tolerance,  there is a Gouge value for us to input.

My question:
Does this value consists of the sum of both Out and In-tolerance (which are the Upper and Lower values away from the Norminal surface)?
Or is it a value from the Norminal surface to the Out-tolerance surface?

Thankyou for your kind attention.

Re: Auto-Diff -->Gouging Comparison Tolerance

The value to put for 'Gouge' in AUTO-DIFF is the direct value for In-tolerance.
If you select 'Excess' then you can set a different value for Out-tolerance.
