.tp NC programs problem

Hello guys

I am newbie at vericut and I encounter a problem here. Hope you guys can help me.

I have a .tp NC program that is to be imported into a new project setup.
And I have 2 questions here;
firstly: Can I add a milling machine into the project?
secondly: I have tried the training guides given on building a new setup, however, the NC programs used by the tutorials are of G-code (.mcd) format, so is there a there a need to convert the .tp file to a G-code data file in order for the machine to be workable?

Thankyou...

Re: .tp NC programs problem

To add a machine to a project you also need a controller that tells the machine what to do with each code specified in NC program.
Looking at your second question I suspect that you want to simulate an APT style toolpath and not G-code NC program.
In general you only use machine simulation on G-code.
The file extension does not matter, its the contents.
