Hi Everybody:
Just wanted to know how many of you folks out there using Vericut Msim simulates cutter compensation effectively.

I've never tried using Vericut to verify cutter comp.
What are you hoping to check?
I expect you'd want to find out if the cutter shank and tool holder would hit the material, fixture or finished part if the cutter flutes are ground undersize and cutter comp is used to move the toolpath over.
Is it easy to check that with Vericut?

yep, and any overlooked bad cutter compensation vector that might actually violate the part if a CDC value is present. And about how easy it is depends, I think on the type of Control. I believe the G-code cuttercomp. (G43) is fairly easy to simulate but it gets harder if using cuttercomp vectors (1,0,0) itself. I still have to try it.

Zac, I don't think anyone else knows what you are talking about as far as normal to a vector cutter comp. I think that is something that was custom created for your location.
It is something that should be verified though so I hope you can find a solution.

I too hope so.
