Before Attending Machine Sim Class ... ????

Hi guys... Is there any thing that would be beneficial to know before attending the Msim class??? besides how to use basic vericut ofcourse..

Hi Sibi,

I always try to find out as much as I can on my own, before attending a class. I get more out of it that way.

Might want to create a list of your machines. Have a list of things, like multispindle issues, 90 head, subprograms, specific controls, questions on things you want to do, challenges.

Think about 2 points.
Zero on the table, Zero on the head. Lining them up.
Where is Program Zero on your machine? where is Home.
A mazak 3 axis, Z0 is all the way up, but on an gantry where is Z Zero?
What is the Z on an gantry when the Z is a maximum limit up? 30? 42.25?

Tool tip or pivot point?

How do you want to establish program Zero? G54?
or a g-code +setting+ tables+ program Zero?


A good file to look at is samples\cinci_3_spindle_gantry_5ax.usr
go to word address M6, and look at active tool
