Has anyone dealt with draw counter-bore tools in Vericut? At present I just define a tool that is the c-bore size and plow through the part... pretty crude huh. I'm looking for ideas on how you people have simulated these tools realistically.
Thanks

Dan,
are you referring to a back boring bar?
If so, you can describe this tool using an insert instead of an SOL

Thanks for responding.
No, not a boring bar but yes, a tool that back faces. The type of tool I'm refering to may have a swing out wing or the operator may manually install the cutter head after the pilot has passed through the hole.

To do the back boring with a swing-out bit (or to manually add and remove the back boring head) you'll need to do a tool substitution (tool with just a post and a tool with a bit). we currently do not support dynamic insert-to-holder motion. You'll also need some kind of trigger statement or action to signal the substitution to take place.

Thanks Tom,
I have been thinking about this...
If I inbed (VERICUT-TOOLID ####) into my code in strategic places I may get what I'm after.
