Heidenhain Control

Hi Gents:

Just a small question, anybody familier with Heidenhain Control??? Just wanted to know whether it'll accept 6 digit tool numbers instead of the default T01 format. Also about how it handles cuttercomp. we use a lot of manual cuttercomp. will the control be able to handle that or it justs spits out the G41 format ??? Using Post created by postworks. Sorry guys I am very much new to this stuff so any type of help is greatly appreciated.
Sorry as I deviated a bit from the forum topic.

Thanks in advance

Zac.

Re: Heidenhain Control

Zac,
I don't know which model you have but the 530 supports tool numbers up to 32767 in a 5.1 format or a tool call of up to 16 characters in quotes.

g41/g42 cutter comp is supported.

Re: Heidenhain Control

Thanks for the reply Tom:

Our tool number format is like 1234.11 so I was wondering whether the control would be able to recognize that, and you were saying that it would if within quotes, right. well that's good news and about cutter comp. do you know how it handles 5x cutter comp. Is there any toggle button on the controller to activate that ?? and does it take vector cutter comp like simens 840D ???

Thanks

With kind regards

Zac.

There is no button, but it is an option, so you will have to pay extra, if you need it.
It can be used in the following way:

  1. Face vector at coordinate point

  2. Tool vector at coordinate point

  3. Face and tool vector at coordinate point

  4. Axis rotation at coordinate point

You can use end-. ball and bull-nose-mills.

Download the latest Users Manual for your HH control from Heidenhain Documentation
