Stock Transition In V6

Within the project files I have various setups, with predifined stock STL  models for each of the setups, as V5 worked.

With V6 the stock model is tranferred automatically from setup 1 to setup 2  and so on.  Is there a way to stop this happening and make vericut use the attached STL models for each individual setup?

Yes.  Split the single multiple-setup project file into multiple single-setup project files.

Re: Stock Transition In V6

Thanks for the reply.  I realise this can be done (same as V5) but I like having multiple setups in one project file.

I also know you can de-activate unwanted setups which allows for the active setup to run with the attached STL model.

My question still stands, is there a way to make each setup default to the attached STL model?

Re: Stock Transition In V6

The rule is that if there is only one Stock Component in both setups, the Cut Stock will move from the first setup Stock to the second setup Stock.

If you have multiple Stock components, the Cut Stock will transit to a Stock Component with the same name. If the matching component name is not found, the Cut Stock is not translated.

Here is the test I have done with vericut.vcproject:

Set Motion to stop at the end of each setup.

In Setup 1, I added a Stock component calles Stock2 (no models required)

In Setup 2, I renamed the Stock as Stock2

Press Play
At the end of the first Setup, press Step to process a single block and jump in the second setup, an empty Cut Stock will move from Stock2 to Stock2

Project > Setup Models > Load Stock
-- This will load the model attached
Then Play the second setup.
