Help with Simens 840D Control ....

Hello all:

Can somebody please tell me why Simens 840D Control is skipping the edge block as in -
N9993G0G94X-29.3509Y2.6257Z9A3=0B3=-0C3=1F=(400.0*TF)T170412S=(150*TS)M14
When ever the control sees this I don't know if it is G94 or the combination of N9 or what it just skips it and force the tool to Z0 and I am getting reds all over ... which scares me a lot  . Can somebody please help me to get around this problem.

Thank you all in advance

With Regards

Zac.

Re: Help with Simens 840D Control ....

Hi Zac,

I just MDI your command with a Job using the Library Siemens 840D control.

The values passed to Z are as programmed (Z9) :?

The fact that TS and TF are not define give me some errors:

-Error: The Word TF is not defined
-Error: The Word TS is not defined
-Problem parsing current line

For a test, I removed TS and TF and got it to process further.
The Siemens control is set to process Alphanumeric tools and therefore the remaining of the line is read as T170412S and the rest is ignored.

I added a space before the S= and it read all normally.

I would suggest that you contact Technical Support, they will be able to tell you what is going on by looking at your files.

Contact your local representative about MSIM classes possibilities in your area.

P.S. California is a lot warmer in January...
