Vericut and 3D-Connexion devices

Has anyone used a 3D-Connexion device ,like a Space Navagator, with Vericut. If you did do you like it?

Re: Vericut and 3D-Connexion devices

You will have to use version 6.x of Vericut to have good performance in the work piece view, since you can enable OpenGL acceleration for that views.

I think it is better to save some custom standard views and use them, which is much faster than using 3D input devices.

Re: Vericut and 3D-Connexion devices

A lot of issues with the 3D connections were fixed in VERICUT 6.1.x.
I have been using my SpaceTraveler (smaller version of the Space Ball) for about 2 months and have not had any adverse effects.

If you have 6.0.x, I would recommend that you wait until you go to 6.1.x because of some stability problems.

Like any such devises, it is always recommended that you install the latest drivers.

stpendl and SergeV, thanks for your replies.
I'm currently using 6.0.2 so I'll wait untill 6.1.x is installed.

Re: Vericut and 3D-Connexion devices

I would recommend to install VC 6.1.1, which we are currently running.

There have been several issues addressed, which kept me from using the 64-bit Windows version.

My users are now happily using 64-bit VC on Windows XP x64 big_smile
