We are on vericut 6.0.1 using gcode. After the roughing tapes run I like to reset the cut color. When I click the 'reset cut color' button the color changes ok. Then when I hit 'ok' or 'apply' it process for a few seconds and the colors change back. :?
Any ideas what might cause that?

What are you trying to do?
Are you trying to get the rough part color to be displayed as the stock color?

Right.
Usually 6 or 8 cutters, maybe 10 run for the roughing op. so colors begin recycling right away. Thats why I like to reset all the colors to the stock color.
That way if a finish cutter should happen to paint the same color as a rougher I can see it. Also if an area is accidentially finished during the roughing it is easy to see if the colors have been reset and the finish cutter 'checkers' with the stock color.

I have asked for a reset cutcolor to stock color button, but as it turns out you can allready do this.
Save a VCT file with no features, and use that as stock for finishing.
I also like to use only 3 colors, stock, tool, and reset cutcolor. that way the part is displayed as, 1 original stock not cut, 2 allready cut with previous tools, 3 cut this tool. I have PPRINT VERICUT COMMAND RESET CUTCOLOR, in my apstoruce every tool, (via pptable).

Vericut 6.1 constant gouge, will automaticly make internal oversize tools to look for this. This is a new feature.
