Hi everybody:
I am a newbie in this forum. been using Vericut for a while now. Can somebody please tell me why my .vct stock file looks like block and faces instead of the actual representation. I tried changing the Tolerances @ Properties window but dosen't help. The problem is since it is showing up wierd It won't let me measure Stock/Design dist. so that I could align at proper position. I am adding an image ... hopefully it works ...

InterPolation Toler:.001
Min.Error Vol:.001
Model Toler:.001
Cutting Toler:.01
Base Cut Toler. On : Stock Size
Using : Vericut(64) 6.1
Thanks
With regards,
Zac

try View+ view Orient + window
check the Standard Rotation Image check box.
don't know but its worth a try.
that kind of image should only be when rotating, and the box is not checked.

oops, that is a v54x thing
I am curious if it went away, or moved. :?
Question:
Does the view refine if you create a cut stock ? IE select a tool path and press step or play?

is that a workpiece view, or a other?

There is one thing I can think of that might cause such a display.
Using a machine view and setting the OpenGL - Cut Stock Display to the Rabbit under View => Attributes => OpenGL, will result in a very rough display like yours.

I was wondering what happened to check the Standard Rotation Image check box. ( View+ view Orient + window)
so I asked cgtech support
Here is the reply:
The VERICUT V54 "Block" rotation image for a "Cut Stock" in a
Workpiece View was removed from VERICUT V60.
The "Standard Rotation Image", which was a "View, Orient...,
check box option" in V54, was made the default in V60 and
enhanced to be much faster than V54.
The VERICUT V60 Workpiece View was also enhanced to
allow the Workpiece View to automatically switch into
"Accelerated (OpenGL)" mode while dynamically rotating
the view via:
VERICUT V60
Highlight a Workpiece View
View, Attributes...
check Accelerated (OpenGL), OK

Thanks for the info. Dave. .....
I have another question though ...recently we upgraded to 6.1.1 and I was looking at the Analysis~NC Program Review option .. before, don't know which version but any way it used to display 3 windows - a graphic , an error listing and the NC prgram listing windows. Now I see only the NC program listing Window.... I don't see the other two ... Is it that my settings got corrupted or do I have to check some box some where to see those or did Vericut actually remove those 2 windows.....
Thank you
Regards

Hi Zac,
In 6.1, we merged the NC Program Review into the main VERICUT window. As you remember, in 6.0 it used to come up in a separate window.
The errors are in the message area at the bottom of your screen. If you click on the error message, the responsible NC block gets highlighted in the program and the tool is positionned to that block.
In Info > NC Program, you can switch to the review mode at any time by selecting the icon on the top left. You will see the VCR buttons change to have the step back and the play back buttons.
Also, if you go under File > Properties, you can check the option "Replace Material When Stepping Back" to see the material being put back as you step back. I wish the real machines could do that .
This is an option because it requires more memory to save all the cut history and therefore will affect the performance.
