Hi There.
I am using V6.1. The on-line help is now PDF based. Context sensitive help (F1) does not seem to be working for me. Does anyone know if there is something my IT support group needs to do to enable context sensitive help, or is the F1 key no longer any good for this? If so, does another way exist to make the help document open to the page that reflect the current menu (or macro) you might be stuck on?
I like the F1 function key. I have been using it since Lotus 123.
Thank You.

Context sensitive help should work with Vericut 6.1 on your system.
What o/s, internet explorer, adobe versions do you have ?

We have several Windows platforms with I.E. and Acrobat. Actually, I did not receive an immediate response from any users, so I submitted a trouble ticket to CgTEch with the particulars last Friday. I assume that Mr. Hendricks and company are digesting the problem and will help us, as they always have in the past.
Thank You.

CgTech helped me figure this out.
1) For my PC, a W2K box, you must have Acrobat Reader V6.0 or later installed.
2) For a PC with XP, CgTech says that the normal Help seems to work OK but for F1 Help to Work correctly Adobe Acrobat needs to run stand-alone.
CgTech says the following should fix the F1 Help problem:
a) In VERICUT, File > Preferences: PDF/HTML tab, specify the path/filename of the Adobe Reader.
b) CgTech think that running the Adobe Reader can be stopped from running in browser mode. In the Adobe Reader window Edit > Preferences Select the Internet Category and toggle Display PDF in browser "Off".
3) For Windows Vista, who knows?

Context sensitive (F1) help will work correctly ONLY WHEN File | Preferences | PDF/HTML have the Adobe Reader AND Internet Browser you use defined. These settings, once defined, are stored in the user.preferences file on the system. They should be remembered for succeeding uses of Vericut. Each user will have to define them.
The confusing part is, it almost works when they are not defined. F1 will bring up the system default adobe reader showing the Vericut help files. It will not go to the proper location in the help files until the PDF/HTML preferences are set.
