We discovered and fixed a problem in 6.0.3 (and 6.1) that may be at the root of several reported VERICUT crash and hang problems.
Symptom
VERICUT crashes or hangs while using an Accelerated (OpenGL) display. This could be either a machine view or a workpiece view with Accelerated enabled. The crash/hang occurance is most frequent and noticable when dragging another desktop window across VERICUT's desktop while simulation is running. It could also happen when pulling-down the logger message list, when the Windows taskbar opens over the VERICUT desktop, or when a windows notice pops-up (like an email notice).
The problem seems to be much more frequent in 6.0. But also existing in all earlier VERICUT versions that included the Accelerated (OpenGL) view setting.
Cause
The conditions described above each cause an OpenGL redraw request instigated by the operating system. This request causes a conflict if VERICUT requests a redraw at exactly the same time.
Solution
The conflict condition is now detected and will not occur in 6.0.3. Update to 6.0.3. Download is available at ftp://ftp.cgtech.com/Download/pointrel/windows/603.zip.

The latest available 6.0 version is 6.0.5, located at:
ftp://ftp.cgtech.com/Download/pointrel/windows/605.zip
It contains additional OpenGL changes to improve stability.
Also, VERICUT 6.1 is now released, and it has more OpenGL stability changes. You can download it by completing the web-form at:
