extruding a dxf file in vericut

Currently I am using version 5.4.4 (we are upgrading to 6 very soon, however in the meantime...), I need help extruding a dxf file.  I drew the chuck of the machine in AutoCAD and then saved as a ASCII dxf file.  I then went into import model file and my only choices were sweep or revolve.  From the online vericut help an sor (revolve) file should work, however it did not.  What am I doing wrong??? :?

Re: extruding a dxf file in vericut

This all depends on what you have drawn. To create an S.O.R you need to have drawn half the profile. The S.O.R is swept around the Z axis.
For Sweep file the .dxf profile will need to be created in the XY plane and the either extended in the Z+ or Z- direction (I.E Thickness).

If you are still having problems email into Support.
