Mastercam X2 interface

I am a bit confused on the installation of the Mastercam interface. I put the files where designated by the help file. The part I don't understand is the "enviornment variables". The file says I need to create two variables but 1) I don't know what this is. 2) It doesn't say where to create them. Please, could someone put this in 4th grade english so a hick like me can understand?
Thanks

Re: Mastercam X2 interface

The two variables need to be added as a user environment variable

Here are the steps to setup user environment variables on XP

  - Right click on My Computer,
     - Select > Properties >Advanced Tab > Environment Variables Button
        - Under user variables for ______, Section
           - Select> New
             - In the NEW USER Variable Window Add the following
                   - Variable name: CGTECH_INSTALL
                   - Variable value: C:\CGTech603 or what ever version you are using
                   - OK
            - Select New again
                   - Variable name: LSHOST
                   - Variable value: (Your License Server Name)
                   - OK
            - Hit OK again
            - You are done

Re: Mastercam X2 interface

When you use the Mastercam interface, does it bring over stock and tooling?
Where can I download the Chook for X2?
Thanks
