Problem
VERICUT 6.1 uses Sentinel LM license server 8.0.5. We have discovered 2 cases where the 8.0.5 server does not find the ethernet address, but the 8.0 server (with VERICUT 6.0) and the 7.2 server (with VERICUT 5.4) does.
In these cases, Hostinfo.bat finds the ethernet address, but the license server does not. When attempting to add licenses the server compares the ethernet address encrypted in the license key with the available ethernet devices on the license server computer. The server can't find the device, so the license addition fails with Error 19.
Solution
Uninstall and re-install the network device driver. One way to do this is:
. Right click on My Computer > Manage
. Select Device Manager in Computer Management
. Expand Network Adapters
. Right click on the ethernet device
. Uninstall
. Click "Yes" to the warning
. Close all windows and restart the computer
. The network device driver will be re-installed during startup
Offline
If not possible to re-install the network driver, you can use the SentinelLM 8.0 license server delivered with VERICUT 6.0. This is compatible with VERICUT 6.1 clients and can take a VERICUT 6.1 license.
