How can I reduce Vericut Reset time?

:?:
It takes an annoyingly long time for Vericut to reset. I understand that it cranks through all the programs and subroutines in the project. One thing I have here is a large number of probing subroutines. They are listed under Project > Processing Options > G-Code > Settings. I rarely use all or even most of the subroutines listed on any one project. I have the feeling that this long list of subroutines is slowing down the reset, is that correct?

Is that list stored with the project or with the control? That is, if I remove the ones I am not using now, will I have to keep replacing them later?

If that list is stored with the control, is there an alternative place to store the subroutine list so that I can have it be unique to the project? If so could I then just eliminate the subroutine list from the control and leave it with the project?
Thank You,
Paul Hossfield

Re: How can I reduce Vericut Reset time?

Hi Paul,

You can reference subroutines 2 ways:

1) with the control. This is for subroutines that are specific to the control. These subroutines can be reference by any jobs using this control. The link to these files is saved with the control file.

These are referenced via: Configuration > Adv. Options... ; subroutine Tab

2) the job subroutines. These subroutines are usually specific to the current NC Program.

These are referenced via: in the Project Tree, NC Subroutines, right-click Add/Modify NC Subroutines...

Note:
In Info > NC Program, the control subroutines will not be displayed. It will execute like a drilling cycle. A job subroutine, will display line-by-line and can be stepped to debug.

Serge,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
What do you mean by "usually"

Re: How can I reduce Vericut Reset time?

I meant, "in general", because the simulation will work either way. but it makes more sense to save what is relative to the job in the Project file than with the control. You do not want to modify the control file with every jobs. It would be risky with multiple users.
