It's been a week or so since I messed with it so I'm a bit vague on the details, hoping I won't need them and you peeps already know the answer.
Installed the latest version of Vericut (5.41 I believe) on a new PC that will be the floating license server and it's running Windows XP. I seem to have a problem getting a license on the other systems if I have the firewall enabled.. but if I shut the firewall down then all is well.
Is there a way to let the license request get through the firewall?
No hurry on an answer, were not on that license server yet, and I only have little bits of time to work with it.. so I figured I would ask here then get back to it when time permitted.
so no need to panic.... yet!
Thanks Peeps
btw... Forum=Great Idea! Give whoever came up with it a raise.

Worked on an XP/Pro SP2 box yesterday that suffered from this problem. The solution was to unblock "lservnt.exe" if you have a service starting the VERICUT license server, or unblock "lserv9x.exe" if you manually start the license server (both located in the "license" directory). --Gene
