How come on a multi license system I get tossed out of Vericut when someone else starts Vericut?
Is there a way to fix this problem?
Everyday, I'm one of the first ones to start Vericut then as the other 8 users take licenses, I get thrown out each time.

Hi Roger,
This is not how the licensing works. If you have the license checked out, it not available for the other users. The license managing software has no way to reclaim a license. It is a one-way process. The only way the license is released is by exiting VERICUT.
Unless someone shuts down the server
Do you get a message that the license is not available?
I would check with Tech Support

Hey Serge,
It's not that they take my license, because it is held for about 5 min and I can get it back. But, when someone else starts Vericut, it knocks me out. My session completely shuts down. When I look at the license administrator, it still show that I have the license for about 5 min.

What happens if you let somebody else be the 1st one in vericut?
would that guy get bumped instead of you?

Hi Roger,
Your observation about the 5 minute is accurate, the licenses are refreshed every 300 seconds.
VERICUT running on another computer should not affect anything, they are separate applications.
Try to find what is commun to the sessions, are you both trying to read or write to the same file/directory? running the same Project file?
Does it happen to every users? When you get back, do you kick someone out?

It is happening to all of us but it doesn't happen everytime. I've been working for a couple weeks strait on Vericut and I am pretty damn sure that when my session shuts down for no apparent reason it is usually because someone else just started a session.
I'll have to monitor it longer and let you know what I find. I assumed this was happening to other locations.
I'm having a lot less problems now since I started using a Windows X64 system. And I have the latest Java recommended settings. So, this issue is easier to track.

After talking to some of my co workers, we have come to the conclusion that the problem only happens when using Machine Sim. We have about 6 Vericut licenses, but only 1 Machine Sim.

Hi Roger,
Follow up with Tech Support, there are some method to monitor the license usage to gather some clues.
Please post the conclusion if a solution is found
Thanks
