How do you expedite training, when you can’t get into machine & control building class?
Someone asked me thru a private message, for suggestions on getting formal training for machine simulator. if you check the web site, today, you will see he September 18-21 class is full.
I had to get into machine simulator cold turkey, and under the gun, before I had formal training. The way I did it was to use CGTech as a resource, and have them build the first two machines & control for me. I learned a lot working with the CGTech machine builder engineer; going thru the process of getting all the info together they needed, deciding where machine zero was to be, etc.
When the machine and controls were delivered, a document detailing all the functionality was also provided. a few loooonnnnng phone support calls with the CGTech machine builder, and I was not only up and running, but also able to build more machine & control files, with the periodic help from support@cgtech.com.
So my advice, if you are under the gun, and can’t get into class, would be to order 2 days of on site training from a CGTech machine builder.
While you are waiting for the CGTech machine builder to arrive, go thru the training exercises, and you might also do what I did. I actually printed out all the menus and hung them on the wall to familiarize myself with everything. get as familiar as I could
When the engineer finally comes for the one on one on site training, you can skip over the things you figured out for your self, and focus on the more complicated details. And get the machine(s) your started, completed.
I plan on doing this myself, when I do the next round of machine building, to expedite the completion of several more machine, and enhance my knowledge to the next level.
