VERICUT Machine & Control Building Docs...

Hi Everybody:

Is there anybody willing to share their VERICUT Machine & Control Building Notes from the training session held by Cgtech. I am in NY and its sad sad  that Cgtech would never offer any such courses any where near. I do use Msim but would like to use it to its fullest extent. We have diff. types of machines and all we have is a 840D control file  . I would like to use the functionality on other machines as well but my knowledge level is too low. I really appreciate if somebody is willing to help.

Thanks in advance.

with regards,

zac.

Re: VERICUT Machine & Control Building Docs...

A way to bring Training to you, is to get a day or two of on site training.

There is machine simulation using, and building.
Here, everyone is a Machine user, and I am the only Machine builder.
I make sure every user, is a power user.

You can learn a lot, but only so much looking at training files.

An on site training could be in 2 sessions.
The group would get training on using.
The builder(s)  can than get training on building.
This is good way to spend money, because your groups specific questions will be answered, and things you already know can be skipped. The bottom line is you can get a weeks worth of training, in 2 days on site.
And more than one person can get the training, without multiple persons travel expenses.

If your company purchased your first machine, that is smart.

That is what I did.
I purchased the Cincinnati 950, and big blue controls. ( I already know how to build machines, that is the easy part. I model the machine in Catia, and than export stl files)

I learned a lot, working with the CGTech machine & control file builder.

A caution. If you don know the control file is correct, I would not risk it

Machine and control files are not to be taken lightly. You must simulate all g-code properly. Some machines have strange  behavior with things like RAPID, CYCLES, LINTOL, etc.

If you want to do a lot of machines tip of the spear, should be sharp

We have 65 machines here
I have modeled a lot, but still have a lot to do.

The reality is, when I am ready to do it, I will get a day or two of onsite training for myself.

If either training option is not likely to happen soon, you can call me, an I can give you a little time here and there to help you along.  email me and we'll set up a time to chat.

The training sessions are distributed with the software. Look in the Help, the sessions with numbers above 100 are used in the Machine and Control class.

I think Zac is looking for the materials beyond that,  only given out to students attending the M.S. class yikes
