VERICUT may be unable to get a license in a configuration where VERICUT needs to get its license from the license server on another computer. This may be because the windows firewall on the license server computer prevents it.
First check that everything else is working ok, such as:
. VERICUT runs ok on the license server computer, successfully gets licenses
. The client computer can successfully ping the license server computer, by name.
. LSHOST is set correctly on the client computer.
Then ...
1. Open Windows' firewall on the license server computer
2. On the exceptions tab choose Add Program
3. Add \cgtech6x\windows\license\lservnt.exe
(add lserv9x.exe if you're running a temporary license server)
