In 5.3 I use to have an option on a slider bar to reduce animation speed from 0-10. Now the slider bar is on the main Vericut window. The problem I have run into is that I cannot slow down the animation enough with the new slider. I still need the old method of slowing it down to 6-8.
The new slider bar on the main menu is nice but not as effective in slowing down the animation as 5.3.
Is there somewhere in the software that has slider or some control that can slow down the animation better?
Thanks in advance,
Dale

Hi Dale,
First, a clarification about the 5.3 (or 5.4) animation speed slider- it is variable as you mentioned, but not to the degree of no motion. If moving the slider to the extreme left position does not slow the simulation enough, you could try making the VERICUT window larger and maximizing the cut model to be as large as possible. This will cause the graphics card to update more screen area, thus requiring more time to do.
If still not slow enough, you could try reducing your Cutting Tolerance a bit (File>Properties: Tolerance tab) prior to cutting the model. However, be advised this will have the side-affect of increasing the size of IP files you save.

Thanks Gene. Good ideas for working around the fast computers. I never thought I would have asked a question like that some time ago when we were on Sparc unix machines!
I don't know what I would do without Vericut! Keep up the good work. 5.4 looks great.

We have been asking for more 'slow' control for many revs. I have posted some suggestions for the slider in the Future Release Suggestions.
