Re: Difficulty using G54 and G55

You need to define where your work offsets are located just like on your real machine.

For this we define tables under the G-Code settings.

In 6.0, open vericut.vcproject, on setup:3, right-click G-Code Settings : Tables tab

there are 3 work offsets G54/G55/G56. These work offset tables are using relative work offset. these only define the position, but not the orientation.

When defining the table, you have a choice to select From/To or to enter the position manually. If I need to add a rotation, I use the From/To to find the position but then switch to Enter Offset and add the rotation.

Re: Difficulty using G54 and G55

I have two situations :

One :

I have MO1 in the program. First tool uses G55 , then M01. turn the component and second tool works with the G56. I tried giving G55 and G54 like in the vericut.vcproject. i couldn't make it work properly

Second :

In this situation i was using two tools with G55. By mistake i got G56 in the second tool. How can i make vericut throw an error.

Thanx

Re: Difficulty using G54 and G55

Do you have a G55/G56 in your program? or is it activated by the operator when the machine stops at M01?

If it is the case, you could MDI the command when VERICUT stops.

To see what offsets are applied, look in Info > Machine Offset

Re: Difficulty using G54 and G55

It is operated by machine operator , when M0 is encountered , component orientation is changed to 180. i tired following the help, but it doesn't work , it works only on the 4th axis machines.

secondly, when it has two diffrent Work-Offsets can we have an option in vericut to throw a message or error on which offset it is working.

( because in lenghty programs with number of tools some times we get diffrent workoffset for diffrent tools by mistake)
