I'm trying to verify one program in two setups. The first setup is a fixture location probing only using 1,2,3 blocks as stock. The second setup is the actual machining of the parts. The one program is able to both probe and machine depending on variables.
When I went to the project pulldown and selected "Add New Setup" the first setup was copied and pasted. :? I then cut the stock (1,2,3 blocks) and replaced them with the material stock. I made both setups active.
Problem 1; When the first program setup is run and the second begins, the variables are reinitialized which removes the work offsets created and restarts the probing routine. I have the "Initialize Machine Control" turned off and the "Scan NC Program Files" turned on
Problem 2; Even though I replaced the stock in Setup :2, the Setup :1 stock shows up "solid" and the replacement stock is tranlucent. The probing routine which should alarm out is picking up the Setup :1 stock. If I turn either setup to "inactive" the stock looks correct for each setup.
Is there a way for me to carry over the variables from Setup :1 to Setup :2? Note -- I will need the variables reset for Setup :3
