Help with ...Importing DXF files.

Hi Guys,

1) I was trying to import DXf file in the Tool Manager. The file is getting fine but not alighed to the X0 and Z0 on the chart. I tried looking at the help files but in vain.

give me a hint.

Hi,

My experience from importing DXF-files is that the geometry must be located at the absolute CSYS (Unigraphics) before creating a DXF.
Tool axis should be Z-axis. So - try to reposition the entities in your source file.

Hi. Thx for your suggestion. i am working on solidworks 2006, i tried taking new co-ordinate system. from insert>reference geomentry>new co-ordinate system. then i import the file to drawinf and save as DXF.

later when i import the file in vericut601. it dislocates from the center.

i'll have a crack with Unigraphics. anyway .
