Some enhancements that may not be obvious from the release notes.
6.0 allows naming of the individual tool components. It also reports the specific component name when collision checking. Example.
Define a Tap, then define a very small holder on the end of the tap, %60 of the tap diameter and about .002" thick. Name this holder "NonCuttingTip".
Now if the tap goes too deep, Vericut will report something like: "NonCuttingTip" removed material, as a warning or error.
The names can be your shop Holder, Adapter and Cutter names for Cutter List document creation.
Each tool component can now have a separate color defintion. With up to 128 colors, identification of individual tool assembly components is easier.
"L" shaped tools on mills can now be simulated in both spindle on and off conditions. "L" tools can be defined with inserts and rectangular holder segments for the bottom of the "L". Remeber to UNCHECK the "Don't spin with Spindle" option on the rectangular holders. When the spindle spins, the tool will "Spin".
